Mark your calendars for April 11–12, 2026! Our annual Thai New Year celebration returns with traditional water blessings, cultural performances, live music, and authentic Thai food. Temple hours 6 AM – 8 PM both days. Free shuttle service available from Kaiser parking.
Over 500 community members gathered at Wat Thai of Los Angeles for our annual New Year blessing ceremony. The event featured morning chanting led by our senior monks, a merit-making ceremony, and a community lunch. Families participated in the traditional water pouring ceremony to receive blessings for the new year.
We are pleased to share an update on the ongoing renovation of the temple grounds. The new meditation hall flooring has been completed, and landscaping improvements around the main temple building are underway. These improvements are made possible by the generous donations of our community members.
This year's Loy Krathong festival was a beautiful celebration of Thai culture. Community members and visitors created and floated krathongs, enjoyed cultural performances, and participated in traditional activities. Thank you to all the volunteers who helped make this event a success.
The annual Kathin ceremony was held at the temple with participation from hundreds of devotees. The community came together to offer robes and essential items to our monks, marking the end of the Buddhist Lent period. The event concluded with a festive community gathering.
Enrollment is now open for the fall session of our Thai language classes. We offer classes for both children and adults, from beginner to advanced levels. Classes are held on weekends at the temple. Contact the temple office to register your child or yourself.
Our recent meditation workshop drew participants from across the Los Angeles area. Led by our senior monks, the workshop covered both Samatha and Vipassana meditation techniques. We plan to host more workshops in the coming months — stay tuned for dates.
