About
Wat Thai of Los Angeles offers Thai language classes on weekends for students of all ages. Our classes are designed to help students develop practical Thai language skills in a supportive and culturally rich environment. Whether you are a heritage speaker looking to improve your literacy or a complete beginner, our program has a place for you.
Class Schedule
Classes are held every Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the red building on the temple grounds. Please arrive a few minutes early for registration and class assignments.

- Thai alphabet, consonants, vowels, and tone marks
- Reading and writing in Thai script
- Conversational Thai for everyday situations
- Thai culture, customs, and etiquette
Levels
Beginner
The beginner level is designed for students with little or no prior knowledge of the Thai language. Students will learn the Thai alphabet, basic vocabulary, common phrases, and simple sentence structures. By the end of the course, students will be able to read and write basic Thai and carry on simple conversations.
Intermediate
The intermediate level builds on foundational skills and focuses on more complex reading, writing, and conversation. Students will expand their vocabulary, improve their pronunciation and tone accuracy, and begin reading short texts in Thai.
