Weekend services and activities at Wat Thai of Los Angeles, including Tak Baat, Buddhist Sunday School, Thai language classes, chanting, and the famous weekend food court.
Tak Baat (Alms Offering)
Tak Baat, the traditional Buddhist alms offering ceremony, takes place on the first Sunday of every month from 8:30 to 10:00 AM. Devotees offer food and necessities to the monks as an act of merit-making.
Buddhist Sunday School
The temple's Buddhist Sunday School provides children and youth with instruction in Buddhist principles, Thai culture, ethics, and meditation practice. Classes are held every Sunday during the school year.
Thai Language Classes

Thai Classical Music & Dance
The temple offers Thai classical music and dance instruction on weekends, helping to preserve these important cultural art forms. Students of all ages are welcome to learn traditional Thai instruments and classical dance techniques.
Weekend Food Court
The famous Wat Thai Weekend Food Court is open every Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Enjoy a wide variety of authentic Thai dishes prepared by community vendors. The food court is one of the most popular destinations for Thai food lovers in the Los Angeles area.
