Makha Bucha Day
2026Commemorating the day when 1,250 arahants (enlightened monks) spontaneously gathered to hear the Buddha deliver the Ovada Patimokkha. Join us for morning chanting, afternoon Dhamma talk, and evening candlelight procession around the main temple.
Songkran Festival 2026
2026Celebrate the Thai New Year with our annual Songkran Festival! Enjoy traditional water blessings, cultural performances, live music, Thai dance, a wide variety of Thai food, and community festivities. One of the largest Songkran celebrations in the United States.
Visakha Puja
2026Commemorating the Buddha Day — the birth, enlightenment, and Parinirvana of the Buddha. Special morning and evening services with chanting, meditation, and candlelight procession.
Asalha Puja Day
2026Marking the day the Buddha delivered his first sermon to the five ascetics. This day also marks the beginning of the three-month Buddhist Lent (Khao Phansa). Special ceremony with candle offerings.
Khao Phansa — Buddhist Lent Begins
2026The beginning of the three-month Rain Retreat (Buddhist Lent), during which monks remain at the temple for intensive meditation and study. Community members are encouraged to observe additional precepts during this period.
Ok Phansa — End of Buddhist Lent
2026Marking the end of the three-month Rain Retreat. A joyous day of celebration with special merit-making ceremonies and the traditional offering of food to monks.
Kathin Ceremony
2026The annual robe-offering ceremony held within one month after the end of Buddhist Lent. A grand merit-making event featuring a community procession, offering of robes and requisites to monks, Dhamma talk, and festive celebrations.
Loy Krathong Festival
2026The beautiful Thai festival of lights, where krathongs (floating decorations) are released on water to pay respects to the water spirits and symbolize letting go of negativity. Cultural performances and traditional Thai activities.
New Year's Eve Blessing Ceremony
2026Welcome the new year with a special midnight blessing ceremony at the temple. Join us for evening chanting, meditation, and the traditional New Year's merit-making ceremony.
